Seal and Protect Surfaces With Butyl Rubber Tape
It drips from that same spot every single time you check. You patch it, it holds a day, then the drip comes right back. Use it on pipes, tanks, walls, and other surfaces where additional sealing coverage is needed.
The application is simple, peel the backing off, wrap the tape around the problem spot, and press firmly. The butyl rubber layer grips the surface on contact, bonding as you press. The aluminium foil outer layer locks the bond in place.
This tape handles temperatures from -40°F up to 248°F without losing grip. It holds up to 3 bars of water pressure and keeps the seal in place. It sticks to metallic sheets and broken glass, not just pipes and walls.
The tape is designed to help provide a barrier against moisture on compatible surfaces. It can be used on water pipes, tanks, walls, and other applications. The adhesive is designed to maintain contact with the surface after application. It works on water pipes under pressure and sewerage pipes, too. The adhesive grabs tight and stays put, and to top it off, it won't peel back.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can this tape be used on pipes that are still under water pressure?
Yes, the butyl rubber adhesive is designed to bond and hold even on pressurised water pipes. The tape is designed for use on compatible pipe applications and is specified for use in applications involving up to 3 bars of water pressure.
How long does the seal last once applied?
Performance and service life may vary depending on surface condition, installation method, temperature, pressure, and environmental exposure. The adhesive stays put and resists peeling over time.
Does it work in very hot or cold conditions?
Yes, the tape holds its grip across a wide temperature range from -40°F up to 248°F, making it suitable for both extreme cold and high heat environments without losing performance.
Can it be used on surfaces other than pipes?
The tape sticks firmly to a variety of surfaces including metallic sheets, broken glass, walls, and tanks, so it is not limited to pipe repairs alone.
